“Love and desire are the spirit’s wings to great deeds.”
——Johann Wolfgang von Geothe

Great deeds are done every single second, somewhere near or somewhere very distant. From the generous donations made to the less fortunate to the teenager sacrificing his pleasure by offering his/her seat in the MTR train to an elderly person, love and the desire to love others can be clearly seen. Without the elements of love and the desire to love, actions will remain meaningless as they will not portray the greatness of one’s personality and character. Only a deed done with authentic love, care, and desire can be elevated to the position of being identified as a ‘great deed’.
