“Some of us think holding on makes us strong; but sometimes it is letting go.” – Hermann Hesse

This quote can make one think of many things. It can be related to how sometimes the better option is to let your lover go, rather than keep up the complicated relationship. It seems like a very difficult decision, but it might be for the best. But this quote makes me think of another situation as well, one that more university students like me might be able to relate to.
For most parents, their children are most important, and their university choice affects them greatly. This sometimes means that they have to let their children step out into the real world, and study away from the family. Parents are usually unhappy when this situation comes up. But I believe that no matter how challenging this decision may be, most parents compromise, for the well-being and development of their children. This will, in the long-run, make the children much more competent to face the world, and make them stronger. And in the end, nothing makes a parent happier than seeing their child succeed in life.
