[Keep Your Friends Close, and Bosom Friends Closer]
By: WANG Qi, Betty (Hall 10)
Friendship – something that can always put a smile on your face.
Just a call to your friend when you feel ill, and he or she will drop all the things that he or she is doing and take you to the hospital; your friend will always take pride in your success, calm you down when you are feeling over-the-top, stand by and encourage you when you needed someone to; they may get madder than you when you are being bullied; he or she may even judges and mocks you in your face, but never backstab, nor allow anyone to talk bad of you behind your back.
If university were the ivory tower, then the society would be a big old vat. At this moment, I cherish every single dear friend of mine, as I know, such pure friendships are difficult to find in the society. Friends that you make in university always allow you to see who they really are – no backstabbing, insinuation, and deception involved. However, even if you find your perfect friend and classmate, it often require mutual efforts, contact and care to make a friendship last.
Ever encounter a close friend at university? Cherish the time that you spent together, and make efforts to maintain the relationship. To find a good friend and have a good friendship – is not an easy task after all.
