This year, a new initiative has been started in Hall 10: Art Club! As a part of the club, every fortnight, residents would gather to learn a new kind of art, and with it, the culture and its significance. With a motive to promote cultural diversity and a sense of nurturing the inner artist in everyone of us, the Art club has been a successful event in Hall 10. Starting with our first session, traditional Henna from Indian culture, we also learned many other forms of art together. Other interesting art forms that had been shared were Chinese calligraphy and Japanese Origami, where various international students shared the secret behind the art form from their cultures. Apart from cultural art, the art club also focused on ‘environmentally friendly art’ or ‘Eco-art’ which involved making recycled art out of used plastic materials like bottles. The various art forms shared during the Art club events have been proudly displayed in Hall 10’s lobby. Having taken various dimensions of promoting a sense of art and cultural sharing, Hall 10 Art club has been a success!
