Hello everyone! This is Dilys from Lee Shau Kee Hall, a Year 2 local student majoring in English Studies. I enjoy reading books, especially literature. I’ve been living in Hall 6 since I was a freshman of CityU and I’ve experienced warmth and love in this residence community.
Throughout the year, I’ve joined various hall activities, not only within the hall but those interhall activities as well, including the joint hall orientation camp, joint hall gala dinner and have been the cheering team member of the Professor Edmond Ko Cup…etc. Apart from leaving me with treasurable memories in my hall life and university life, these activities have provided me a lot of opportunities to interact with residents coming from different places, such as Korea, Germany and Indonesia. We shared our cultures and habits with each other, and I’ve learnt values of different countries as well. Eventually, my sense of belonging was enhanced, not only in my hall, but in this intercultural residence community as well.
In the past, my role was always a participant of hall activities, loved and supported by all residents. However, I would like contribute in this residence community as well. That’s why I am now grabbing the chance of being a ResLink Writer to build up a gracious and supporting community with you all.
